In March 2022, safety shoe manufacturers will be able to design their shoes in line with the new version of the standard EN ISO 20345: 2022.

What is the timing for implementation?
Since its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union in May 2023, EN ISO 20345: 2022 has been implemented throughout the European Union. The calendar includes a transition period to give safety shoe manufacturers the opportunity to certify their products to the current standard (EN ISO 20345: 2011) or the new version (EN ISO 20345: 2022. This transition period will run until 11 November 2024..
AET certifications are valid for 5 years. This means that the old and new versions of the standard will coexist on the market until 11 November 2029.
What is PARADE’s strategy?
Our innovations will pass the new standard as a matter of priority.We are also going to progressively develop our current products towards the new standard. Inevitably, the two standards will coexist in our catalogue for several years.
